Getting started
What is Ask Debt Pros?
Ask Debt Pros is a subscription service that lets you ask a debt attorney your questions directly. You choose a plan, pick a time that works for you, and talk through your situation in a private chat session. There is no long intake process and no obligation to hire a law firm.
Who will I be talking to?
You will be chatting with an attorney. Sessions are currently handled by Leslie H. Tayne, Esq., a debt relief attorney who has spent her career representing people and business owners dealing with debt.
How do I sign up?
Pick the plan that fits what you need, create your account, and enter your payment details. Once you are signed up, you can schedule your first session right from your dashboard.
How does the session take place?
Sessions happen in a live chat inside your Ask Debt Pros account. At your scheduled time, log in and open the chat from your dashboard. There is nothing to download and no phone or video call required. You type your questions and your attorney answers in real time.
How do I schedule my session?
After you sign up, you will see a calendar in your dashboard.
What if I need to reschedule?
After you sign up, you will see “Book your next session” in the dashboard. Click that link and you’ll be taken to a calendar with available times
Plans and billing
How long is a session?
Each session runs 15 minutes.
What counts as one matter?
A matter is one debt issue. One lawsuit from one creditor is a matter. One merchant cash advance is a matter. One collection account is a matter. If you have questions about two different creditors, that counts as two separate matters.
How am I billed?
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Monthly plans renew automatically on the same date each month until you cancel. One-time sessions are charged once at checkout.
How do I cancel my account?
Log in to your account, go to “Manage Billing,” and select cancel. Your plan stays active through the end of the billing period you already paid for, so you can still use any sessions you have left. There is no cancellation fee.
What kinds of debt questions can you help with?
Common topics include credit card debt, collection accounts and debt collectors, debt lawsuits and judgments, wage garnishment, merchant cash advances, and other business debt. If you are not sure whether your question fits, ask it. Your attorney will tell you either way.
Will you text me?
No. We will not send you text messages. All communication happens through your account and by email.
