Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

This policy explains what information AskDebtPros LLC collects, how we use it, and what choices you have.

Ask Debt Pros is a service of AskDebtPros LLC, a New York company. When this policy says “we,” “us,” or “our,” it means AskDebtPros LLC. When it says “you,” it means anyone who visits askdebtpros.com or signs up for a session.

Please read this policy carefully so you understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

What information do we collect?

We collect the following when you use our site or buy a plan:

  • Account information. Your name, email address, and phone number.
  • Payment information. Handled by our payment processor. See the payment section below.
  • Booking information. The date and time you select for your session.
  • Session content. What you type during your chat session, and any documents you upload for review.
  • Technical information. Your IP address, browser type, device type, and how you move through our site.

When do we collect it?

We collect information when you create an account, buy a plan, book a session, take part in a session, upload a document, contact us, or browse our site.

How do we use your information?

  • To set up your account and process your payment
  • To schedule your session and send you confirmations and reminders
  • To deliver the session itself and review any documents you send
  • To answer your questions and handle support requests
  • To send you service messages about your account or plan
  • To improve how our site and service work
  • To meet our legal, tax, and professional obligations

We will only send you marketing email if you have agreed to receive it. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing message. You cannot unsubscribe from service messages about your own account, such as booking confirmations or billing notices.

Your session content

We treat what you share during a session as confidential. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone outside our company except in the limited situations described in this policy.

Whether your session creates an attorney-client relationship, and what protections come with that, is covered in our Terms of Service. Please read that document as well. [FLAG: this sentence must match the TOS exactly. Do not publish either document until both say the same thing.]

Payment information

Payments are processed by a third party payment provider. Your full card number never reaches our servers and we do not store it. Our provider keeps a record of your payment method so recurring plans can renew, and we can see only limited details such as the last four digits and the card brand.

Our payment provider handles your card details under its own privacy policy and its own security standards.

How do we protect your information?

Your information is kept behind secured networks and is available only to a limited number of people who need it to run the service. Those people are required to keep it confidential.

We use industry standard security measures when information is entered, sent, or accessed. No method of transmitting or storing information online is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Do we use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site places on your device through your browser. We use them to keep you logged in, to remember what is in your cart during checkout, to understand how people use the site, and to measure whether our marketing is working.

You can set your browser to warn you each time a cookie is sent, or to turn off cookies entirely. Each browser is a little different, so check your browser’s help menu. If you turn off cookies, some parts of the site may stop working properly, including checkout and login.

Who else handles your information?

We use outside companies to run parts of our service. They only receive the information they need to do their job, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. These include:

  • Our payment processor, for billing and subscriptions
  • Our scheduling provider, for booking your session
  • Our email and customer records provider, for confirmations and support
  • Our website host and the platform that runs your session
  • Analytics providers, to understand how the site is used

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, if we need to protect our legal rights, or if our business is sold or transferred.

Do we sell your information?

No. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Links to other sites

Our site may link to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Browsers can send a Do Not Track signal or a Global Privacy Control signal.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Give you a copy of that information
  • Correct information that is wrong
  • Delete your information, subject to records we are required to keep
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, which we do not do

These rights apply to residents of California, and to residents of a growing number of other states with similar laws. To make a request, email us at the address at the bottom of this page. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

You can also update your account details by logging in to your account, or by emailing us.

Children’s privacy

Ask Debt Pros is for adults. We do not market to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us.

How long we keep your information

We keep your account and session information for as long as your account is active, and afterward for as long as we need it to meet our legal, tax, and professional recordkeeping obligations.

If there is a data breach

If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you by email and take the steps required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will let you know by email or by a notice on the site.
